Open Water classes in early September!

Several folks interested in the Open Water (OW) diver course have expressed interest in a pick-and-choose option for completing the Open Water certification ... so we'll make that happen.  There are only a couple openings left as I like to keep ratios low.  Details on the website calendar, but OW academics 1 Sep, OW pool skills 2 or 3 Sep, OW checkout dives 7-8 Sep, OW academics 9 Sep, OW pool skills 15 Sep, OW checkout dives 16 Sep with a final checkout either 17, 18, or 19 Sep at 5 pm.  Let me know if interested.  I'm teaching other classes every weekend or on dive vacation until late Oct.   You'll be glad you took up scuba and kick yourself for not doing this sooner!  Thanks!

Washington State Trip

Snapper Scuba reports a recent trip to the Pacific Northwest including diving in Puget Sound and Crescent Lake in Olympic National Park.  The variety of species and color there is incredible. A drysuit is the way to go as it opens up so many options for travel outside of Florida.

Sign up now for Open Water classes!

Now is a great time to sign up for one of over a dozen classes.  It all starts with Open Water which is taught in the Niceville, FL area. See the calendar for available dates. Over a dozen PADI and PSAI specialty classes are available, including Spearfishing, Wreck, Cavern and Drysuit diving. Try NITROX (or Enriched Air) which allows for longer bottom times.  NITROX is often combined with Advanced Open Water and a discount applies when both courses are taken together. Emergency First Responder will certify or recertify your certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED. SnapperScuba provides a credit for any follow-on course or for each referral you provide for any course. We also provide a discount for scouts.

Intro to Cave Diver

If you have completed the Cavern Diver class and want to explore a bit further outside the daylight zone, this is your next class toward Full Cave Diver certification.  The PSAI Intro to Cave Diver course demands precise buoyancy control and being able to do so while performing many tasks.  The skills you will learn are essential to keeping you safe on every dive.  Do not dive in the overhead environment without the appropriate training.  You'll find this course very demanding and rewarding since you get to experience the sights that few get to see in our aquifer.

Sidemount Open Water Diver!

Come see what this new configuration is all about.  Learn about the comfort, control, and redundancy that sidemount diving has to offer.  Sidemount diving positions a tank on each side of the harness and allows for excellent trim control and affords the redundancy of two air supplies from separate first and second stages.
